Antonio Conte won’t change his ways in order to please the Chelsea hierarcy

Throughout the last few weeks Antonio Conte has been very open about his feelings towards certain situation regarding Chelsea and their ability to compete with surrounding clubs.

Conte is thought to have disgruntled some members of the Blues’s board as he continues to openly criticise Chelsea’s transfer policy and has projected his frustrations.

With the Blues set to face Newcastle on Sunday in the FA Cup, Conte spoke to the media regarding his honesty, and the Italian stated he will remain honest even if it may cost him his job.

Antonio Conte lost another battle with Arsene Wenger as the Blues were sent packing in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

As quoted by Sky Sports: “I’m not a diplomatic man. At the same time, I think I’m very honest. The honest person speaks very clearly in every moment. If you are fake, you try always to not tell the truth.

“I prefer to be honest, to tell the truth in every moment. I hate the fake person.”

He was also asked whether he had any regrets in taking the role at Chelsea, his answer was simple.

“No regrets, no. I think when I take a decision, I don’t want to look behind. I want always to look at the present, to look in front of me.”

Antonio Conte will be looking to put Wednesday’s semi-final defeat behind them, as Newcastle await in the next round of the FA Cup.
