Roma defender Emerson Palmieri has agreed to join Chelsea, according to the Standard.
The Brazilian will sign on a reported four-year deal with the Premier League champions.
There has been heavy speculation over who would provide cover for Marcos Alonso and now the search is set to be over.
Several other Brazilians were mentioned as targets but Chelsea have chosen the Brazilian from Roma.
The deal will allow Kenedy to make a short-term move elsewhere in order to gain minutes on the pitch and that is most likely going to be at Newcastle.
Chelsea are also interested in Edin Dzeko, also of Roma and it could see the Blues land a double swoop from the Italian club. Good move Chelsea.
