Chelsea receive Alex Sandro boost

Chelsea have received a boost regarding their pursuit of Juventus left-back Alex Sandro as The Mirror report that the Serie A side are lining up Bayer Leverkusen full-back, Wendell, as his replacement.

Juventus, originally, told the 26-year-old Brazilian that he would have to wait until the summer to fulfil his dream move to the Premier League.

However, due to stepping up efforts to sign the 24-year-old Wendell, the Old Lady may be tempted to cash in on the want away Brazilian in January.

Chelsea are not the only club monitoring the latest developments in the Alex Sandro saga. Manchester United are reportedly interested. Manchester City, also, tried to lure Sandro in the summer. Premier League clubs will have to watch out for Paris Saint-Germain who could be looking to sign a new left-back sooner rather than later as Layvin Kurzawa’s future remains uncertain.
